You’ll usually know your gutters need clearing when rainwater starts spilling over the edges instead of running down properly, when you spot plants, moss or tufts of grass growing out of the channels, or when the gutter line itself starts to sag and pull away from the fascia. Damp patches on the outside walls underneath the gutter line, water marks running down brickwork, and pooling rainwater that just isn’t draining away after heavy rain are all clear signs the system is blocked and overloaded.

Left alone, blocked gutters do far more than just look untidy. The standing water rots fascia boards, soaks into brickwork, drips down into cavity walls and can eventually cause damp issues inside the property. A proper gutter clean clears the blockage, restores the flow and stops a small maintenance job turning into a much bigger and costlier repair down the line.
